The Door of Hope in the Valley of Trouble
Weekly Sermon, 5 July 2026
There are times when hope does not appear in the place we expect. We often look for hope in comfort, peace, prosperity, or outward deliverance. Yet the Word of God shows us that sometimes the true door of hope is found in the very place of trouble. In Hosea 2:15, God speaks of giving Israel “the valley of Achor for a door of hope.” Achor was a place of judgment, exposure, and sorrow, yet God declared that it would become a doorway to restoration. This sermon considers how God uses righteous judgment, repentance, and obedience to bring His people back to Himself, restore their strength, and open the way to renewed blessing.
