How Lives Could Have Been Saved in the Ukrainian Russian War

The trouble started back in 2014 when the Ukrainian government started harassing then bombing the people of eastern Ukraine – most of which were ethnic Russians. While this is terrible, what Russia should have done then was to prepare homes for these people who wanted to flee the persecution that was happening to them. There was nearly eight years for them to do this. During this time factories could have been set up to give these people employment, too.

For people who wanted to flee, they could have crossed the border. What could the war hawks have done then? Bomb Russia without a reason? I doubt it. But IF they did, Russia would have had the right to retaliate in like kind.

This act along would have, most likely, adverted war. Then, what excuse would EU and the US have to steal land and resources from Russia? That is their real goal.

Ukraine would have applied to be part of the EU and to join NATO. If the West allowed it, which they probably would have, Russia wouldn’t like it, of course. But if that is what the nation wanted – that’s their choice.

With Ukraine being part of NATO, you can be sure they would have weapons right to the border. So, Russia, in kind, would have had the right to put weapons right to their border. This would be nothing more than a Mexican standoff. Russia could have seen the writing on the wall back in 2014, and prepared their military accordingly, which would include developing new weapons to defend themselves.

If there was no overt fighting during all this time, there probably would not have been sanctions as bad as what they have now. Sanctions or no sanctions, Russia should have aimed to become as self-sufficient as possible – and that includes all areas of the economy.

All during this time, Russia could have continued trading with China and any other nation that wanted to trade with them.

Now, if Ukraine did attack Russia by land or air, this will give justification for Russia to defend themselves. But unlike the war that is going on now, it would be done as in past wars – by invading the whole country, not just a small part of it! Also, Russia should never, ever give the enemy grain or petroleum. That is just crazy. Think about it – what country continues to trade with the enemy? What nation would continue to provide food and fuel which would help them enemy?

The way the war is carried out now, you’d think it’s an agreement between the nations to have a war to make money. “Yeh, let’s have war so you can deplete your old stock of weapons and we can, too. So, our arms industry can make billions of dollars more!”

In the beginning of the Ukrainian war of aggression, Russia was willing to send Ukrainian grain to the West, in addition to sending oil to them.

If Russia advanced on the ground, bombed the western-most areas of Ukraine and sent plane loads of troops there to block off aide coming across the border, it would be much harder for the EU and the US to use Ukraine as a proxy war. Think of how crazy it is, with the past four years the other European countries, including the US, have been sending weapons to Ukraine; all types of supplies; and mercenaries into the country to continue the war. If Russia, in time, was able to shut down the border; if they could have shot down any plane flying overhead. This war would have ended much soon. There would have been much less loss of life, less injured and less property damage. There would have been a lot less taxpayer money used by the citizens of the West.

Don’t say that this could not be done. If you look back to WWII, Germany was able to take control of Ukraine in 40 days – and this was while they were fighting on other fronts! Ukraine was under the control of the mass-murdering Communists. Many of them remember the government-produced famine of 1932-33 where up to 6,000,000 died. They welcomed the Germans in. You can see pictures and videos of this on the internet.

Likewise, the government the Ukrainian citizens had since 2014 was not of their choosing. And those who still supported the government when the war started, millions have changed their minds. Just look at the videos of citizens helping their young men from being kidnapped by army recruiters (who are acting like the NKVD in WWII).

They have seen how corrupt their government is; they hear the Russia side of the war (thanks to the internet). So, if Russia advanced as they should have, there would be much local support – just like they did when the Christian Germans liberated them.

Now, Russia is doing the right thing; they are a Christian country now.
